We had the pleasure having a coffee with Cindy Transue, the Director of Public Safety at Delaware Valley University recently. Del Val has been using ZipBridge’s reverse outbound conference calling for several years and it was great to talk with Cindy about how they have been using ZipBridge.
The biggest use case is for the Weather Alert Team when Cindy needs to quickly and easily conference in people from 8 different departments including: Student Affairs, Human Resources, Public Safety, Facilities, Academics, Finance and Communications. If the weather looks bad, Cindy has the on duty officer launch a ZipBridge call to this group by 5:30 in the morning. The team members receive a call and are bridged as they answer so they can quickly confer and determine the plan, next steps and communication needed and get ready for the day.
ZipBridge allows Cindy to get all those people on a call in seconds at a less than convenient time. Other Groups Del Val has set up for instant conference calls in ZipBridge are Emergency Triage, Facilities, Behavior Intervention and the President’s Office.
